Engraved & Painted Wooden Decor "The shores of the ocean of true understanding..."

Beautifully finished solid wooden decor with an engraving and hand-painted adornments:

"No man shall attain the shores of the ocean of true understanding except he be detached from all that is in heaven and on earth. Sanctify your souls, O ye peoples of the world, that haply ye may attain that station which God hath destined for you..." 

This quote comes from The Kitáb-i-Íqán (the “Book of Certitude”) which was revealed by Bahá’u’lláh in Baghdad in 1861/62. Within its pages are found explorations of such subjects as the nature of the human being, the purpose of life, the relationship of humanity to God, and the importance of Revelation.

Above the quote is The Greatest Name -- a Baháʼí symbol for God. It is the calligraphic rendering of the Arabic text: يا بهاء الأبهى, translated as "O Thou Glory of Glories".

Each piece is handmade to order. The tray displayed is a small/medium sized tray with wood sourced from the Philippines.
